Overall Positive

After buying several products, I had 1 compatability issue. I submitted an RMA request along with a request to substitue for an alternate product.
The return request did sit with Vesternet for a couple of days before I reached out for an update, they responded immediately, both manual email and automated emails. The pre-paid return postage was very welcome.
Upon delivery back to Vesternet (through postal tracking), another couple of days of waiting until I prompted again for an update and the responded immediately, both to my RMA being returned and the alternative product being shipped to me, all without filling in any further forms. They also included a refund on the difference in price to the products, I had not requested it, so this was also very welcomed.
I would say my experience was overall positive, it would be nice not needing the 2 prompts for progress, but the immdiate and no quarrels response makes up for it.

Will not replace a faulty item and does not honour UK consumer protection law

I bought a Sensative sensor strip that both Vesternet and Sensative describe as having a battery life of up to 10 years. It is a non-replacable battery. Product failed after only 4 years of infrequent use, informing me the battery suddenly lost capacity from 50% to 0% in a matter of just a few days. Vesternet refused to follow UK consumer law and repair, replace, or even offer a partial refund for the failed product. UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that products must be as described—this was clearly nothing close to the 10 year battery life that was sold to me. UK law also always requires the seller (not manufacturer) to offers 6 years of guarantee, which Vesternet refused to stand by. Do not buy from Vesternet because you will be on your own in case things go wrong.

Very helpful…

Very helpful online chat support helped me through some odd questions that I had - even going back to their suppliers to confirm some stuff that I was asking rather than just giving me an easy half-answer. Was pleasantly impressed…

Hopefully the first of many future orders as I continue to build my setup at home.

Perfect as usual

I get almost all my z-wave equipment from Vesternet so when I needed a new z-wave socket for the christmas tree they were the obvious choice. Next day delivery was handy so we could get the lights on the tree as soon as possible and start feeling festive without the need to reach round to unplug or switch off plugs by hand. Plus having the lights automatically on in the morning starts a December day off perfectly!

A lot of available information and easy to order

Navigation on the website is easy, the products contain a lot of useful information, including links to the manuals so that you can confirm that it is fit for purpose before hand.
Delivery was quick and a reasonable price (I didn't reach the free shipment threshold but it is available)
Everything arrived nicely packed without any plastic which is always nice to see.
It is my go to place for z-wave devices :)

Vesternet always seems to come through…

Vesternet always seems to come through with the goods and the service. It's become my go-to place for all things automation. If you have any technical questions they're happy to assist and I've found their advice to be spot on. Shipping has been quick and communication first rate.

Very pleased with Vesternet

I have dealt with Vesternet many times and never had a problem, even when I have had return something. They have a good range of products which are delivered in a timely manner. I have also found their support to be good especially with any queries I have raised. Certainly I will continue to use them and, based upon my experiences, recommend them to others.

Lot of items, knowledgeable, and helpful service

Broad selection of items and great guides on what to get and why. Sales team was also helpful. Categorization of items is also very nice which allowed me to search in many different manners. Love the filter options.

It's when you need support that counts

It's when you need support that really shows up a vendor.
I needed support and the response was fast and accurate.
I'd received a faulty item.
No quibble, it was identified, returned free of charge and replaced the following day.
New item worked first time.
I'm a very happy customer.

Prompt and helpful response to request to return an item

Having included an aeotec bell in my order during a special promotion, but not researched all alternatives and possible problems with the link to my Homey hub, I wanted to return it for credit and come back to the issue later. Vesternet's response was fast and fully accommodating.
In the end I decided to keep the item as I can use it for other purposes even if there are problems integrating in my system (which there probably won't be, I now think)

Still a great company

Why don't you ask for a review after you dispatch orders??

Order on 26th Nov still yet to be dispatched after a week but charged already. Not up to the usual service level. An email to confirm delay would be been courteous.

Nothing wrong with Vesternet themselves…

Nothing wrong with Vesternet themselves but, thanks to Brexit, an additional €25 had to be paid on Customs duty here in Ireland. Might be an idea to highlight this on the ordering page. Has made the device ordered considerably more expensive
