A Note from Our Founder

Today, I'm celebrating Father's Day with my two beautiful daughters. And I don't take that lightly.

For four long years, Jennifer and I longed to start a family. We tried everything - and none of it worked.

The idea that we would never have children was gut-wrenching. Every year, Father's Day was a painful reminder of a dream unfulfilled.

I say this knowing that today can be a hard day for many. I reached a point where I didn't believe I'd ever be a dad. Maybe you're in that same place too. Or maybe you're missing your dad. Or maybe you're wishing you had grown up with a better one - or with one at all.

Whatever the case, today is a day set aside to celebrate dads and father figures alike, and I hope to encourage you, even if it's a hard day.

We need father figures.

In a confusing and chaotic world, one thing rings true. Having supportive, loving, and caring father figures is one of the clearest answers to many of the problems facing us today. We know this in our guts, and we see this in the statistics.

So whether you're a dad, stepdad, grandpa, uncle, godfather, or mentor - thank you. You've played an enormous role in making us who we are today.

Our mission is to foster confidence and courage in men - for the better of mankind. We believe that ordinary men can change the world, one day at a time. And we believe some of the men most poised to do that are father figures.

When I was designing our office, I had a flag created with my favorite quote, from Marcus Aurelius. He sums up my hope more eloquently than I ever could:

"Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one."

So, whether you have kids or not, you are making an impact on those directly around you. People are watching. And the compilation of your ordinary, everyday choices can end up changing the world. All it needs is good men being... well, good men.

Happy Father's Day,
