1980s Sinn Chronograph Ref. 143 With World-Time Bezel

Regular price $3,000

Why This Watch Matters

To make this Sinn PVD-aluminum chronograph even better, it's fitted with a rare world time bezel!

The Full Story

In 1961, Helmut Sinn started his watch company "Helmut Sinn Spezialuhren" in Frankfurt am Main. Through his expertise in aviation as a pilot and as an instructor himself, Sinn as a company has carved its place as the go-to solid toolwatch company.

The black PVD-coated aluminum case was a novel attempt which minimized reflection with its matte black finish and allowed for a super lightweight wear (a total weight of less than 50 grams without the strap). The matte dial layout is clean and easy to read with the quick-set function making setting the time and the calendar a breeze. And the neon orange hands for the chronograph stand out, especially the one with the airplane tip. The red and blue counter for the 5-minute intervals are a neat addition to the watch. The lume on this watch really turned into a beautiful creamy color which creates a nice vintage feel across the board. And let's not forget about the rare worldtime bezel keeping you aware of the time across the globe.

The watch is fitted with a trusty workhorse movement by Lemania, caliber 5102, which is a variant of the caliber 5100 which is renowned for its reliability, accuracy and durability which is a must for any toolwatch.
