Biography: Patty Berg is regarded as one of the all-time greats of women's golf.

She was a founding member and the first president of the LPGA and her 15 major wins remains the all-time record for most major titles by a female golfer.

Her crowning glory was the 1946 US Open and she also won both the Western Open and Titleholders Championship on 7 occasions.

Berg's professional career was interrupted by WWII when she served in the Marine Reserves from 1942 to 1945. This didn't seem to affect her form on the course and she was LPGA Tour
Money Winner 1954, 1955 and 1957.

Berg won a total of 57 events on the LPGA and WPGA circuit and she was an inductee into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
