The Coat drive

If you’re sitting on an extra warm jacket or two, we’re running a coat drive for the next week to help out with the most needed item this time of year for people suffering from housing insecurity in our cities.

For each warm coat or jacket you donate either in person at any of our stores or by shipping to us qualifies for 25% off any outerwear item. We cannot discount items from Bode, The Real McCoy's, or Visvim, but we will offer you 25% of the purchase price in store credit for items from those brands.

You can donate old coats you no longer wear provided they are in usable condition (no holes, smells, zippers work, no missing buttons, no big stains), or donate a new coat (no value restrictions as long as it is warm and reasonably high quality).

How to donate

We will be consolidating all donations and bringing them to the following organizations:
NYC - The Bowery Mission
Santa Fe - Santa Fe Interfaith Shelter
Oakland - Mission For The Homeless

If you are not local to one of our stores, you may mail your donation into one of our locations.

Please include a note with your name and email address, and that the item is for donation so that we can issue you a discount code. If we do not have your contact info, we will not be able to issue you a discount code.

To make processing easier for us, please write “COAT DRIVE” on the package as well, and shoot us an email with a tracking number at hello@standardandstrange.com

Terms and Conditions

  • Each coat donated qualifies for one discount on one item of outerwear
  • Donated items must be new or in clean, usable condition
  • Outerwear is anything found in this selection here
  • Items purchased with the discount are returnable for exchange only
  • Discount cannot be retroactively applied
  • We will do our best to account for and issue discounts for items sent by mail by the end of the following business day.
  • This deal runs from Thursday, Dec 29th 2022 until Wednesday, Jan 11th 2023.
  • Items donated via mail must have a ship date on or before Jan 11th 2023.
  • Discount does not apply to pre-order or special order items.
