Isabelle and Jean-Yves Vantey have been at the forefront of natural farming in Burgundy since the 1990s when they started with just 1 hectare in Maranges and everyone thought they were completely nuts. Their biodynamic grapes have been in high demand from natural winemakers like Julien Altaber and others. Their own wines see about a year in barrel and have just a small sulfur addition, or sometimes none. Jonathan Kemp
