The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.

Our Snaffle is a popular bit due to the curved mouthpiece which distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars. With the offset centre link it will reduce the nutcracker action and pressure points on the tongue.

All Bomber bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

  • oxidises easily
  • encourages salivation
  • helps bit acceptance
  • is warm and sweet

Please note that due to the oxidisation the blue will fade with use.

    Bombers Ultra Comfy Lockup

This is a great simple bit. Good for getting a green horse started or sorting out a more complicated mouth. Horses become softer and more settled in the contact with every ride.

    Bombers Ultra-Comfy Lock-Up Loose Ring

My horse loves this bit. I have had trouble finding a bit to use for dressage on my eventer, having used a thin sweet iron until now. Other bits I tried made him unwilling to move forward and nappy. Thank you bit bank for excellent advice and service.

I’ve always used a Pelham and struggled greatly with flatwork without it. Since using this bit I’ve been able to be soft and have immediate pressure/release. So much more contact super happy.

Love love love my new Bombers Ultra Comfy Lock Up Loose Ring, my horses stay more consistent to the contact and soft as butter but still reactive for big stops, roll backs and haunch turns all required for ASH classes, super pleased with this bit and will transition all my horses into it.

    BOMBERS ULTRA COMFY LOCK UP

Posted by Sarah White on Jul 23, 2018

I recently purchased a Bombers Ultra Comfy Lock Up bit for my horse who was heavy in the reins, would be strong on a trail and wouldn't be consistant with his head carriage. He also has quite a large tongue. Since we have ridden in the ultra comfy lock up (only 4 rides so far) he seems a lot happer, more soft and hasn't wrenched the reins out of my hands. I feel i can ask him to soften with much smaller aids which is great. I can't wait to progress with his training and having him happier with his new bomber bit giving him the tongue relief he needed.
