NightCap was invented by then 16-year-old Shirah Benarde after hearing about the horrors of drink spiking from friends who experienced it. Benarde knew she needed to invent something to protect herself and her friends when they went off to college. Her brother, Michael, saw the need after living in college for four years and decided to work alongside his sister to bring the vision to life.
NightCap was featured on ABC’s hit television series Shark Tank on February 5th, 2021, where Shirah and Michael struck one of the fastest deals in Shark Tank history with Lori Greiner.
