Suitable fabrics: The Worker Trouser works very well in structured heavy to mid weight twills, drills, denims and canvas fabrics. Lighter twills and denims are lovely in the summer and the lighter weight fabrics will give you a slightly looser fit. Before you start check you can easily sew through 5 layers of your chosen fabric.

Fabric requirements: Our lay-plans are always done on a single layer of fabric to reduce wastage.

Construction techniques: Classic collar & collar stand, placket & cuffs, french seam, eased sleeve head and double shoulder yoke. You will have the option of finishing the hem with a flat binding or a standard double fold hem.

Suitable fabrics: The Classic Shirt works best in a lightweight, breathable fabrics that have a bit of flexibility. You can choose fabrics suitable for warm or cold weather but it’s a good idea to choose something that will be soft next to the skin. Fabrics such as cotton poplin/lawn, linen, very lightweight denim, needlecord, lightweight twill and flannel are all suitable.

If you’re choosing a stripey fabric you can play with the direction of the stripe on the collar, back yoke, cuffs and plackets.

The Boatneck Top is a wardrobe basic that’s designed to be useful for all 12 months of the year. It’s the perfect piece to comfortably layer under knits in winter or wear on it’s own in warmer months. It is a simple piece to make which means it’s a great project for beginners.

This pattern is a fitted jersey piece and it should feel like a second skin. The neck line is high and wide (giving it its ‘boatneck’ name) and the rest of the garment is fitted, from the shoulders to the sleeves and body. 2. Or you can print it yourself on a home printer in A4 or US Letter format and then tile the pages together using tape.

Using PDF layers:

All of our patterns come with PDF layers so you can select the sizes you want to view and print. To do this you’ll need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (this is free to download).

Jaime Jacket | PDF Pattern

The Jaime Jacket is a casual menswear piece designed to feel quietly smart and easy to wear. It may look simple but it’s full of carefully considered features to elevate it from other ‘over shirt’ style jackets.

The cut features a curved yoke that flows straight into the under sleeve seam which turns into a slit opening at the cuff. This flowing seam travels from cuff to cuff with a wide run & fell seam. The front pockets have a dual opening and the back loop is on the outside of the jacket to create a unique and subtle design detail.

Sizing: Mens sizes XS2 - XL3 / Women's sizes 4 - 20 (with PDF Layers)

The Jaime Jacket is cut to be relaxed but not oversized. Selecting your ‘true size’ will give you a jacket that fits like an over shirt. If you prefer to have more room around the shoulders and chest to layer with thicker jumpers, or if you have a very thick or sturdy fabric we recommend sizing up. We recommend paying attention to the shoulder and sleeve measurements - the pattern comes with 3 sleeve length options so you can choose the right length for you.
