Scarborough Bluffs
Breathtaking white cliffs that rise from the shores of Lake Ontario is the most dramatic natural feature of the Scarborough Bluffs, a collection of 11 connected urban parks.
These small connecting parks make up the Bluffs stretch for 15 kilometres along the shore. Explore nature trails through wetlands, meadows and forests to beach area, scenic views, gardens, sculptures and restaurants.
This stunning escarpment is located in Scarborough, just 17 kilometres east of downtown Toronto. Numerous lookout spots can be found around the area, providing great views of Lake Ontario and the Bluffs.

How to get to Scarborough Bluffs
Location: 1 Brimley Road South, Bluffers Park Road, Scarborough
By transit: Take the TTC to St. Clair Avenue East at Brimley Road. On weekends, you can ride the seasonal 175 bus from Kennedy Station for direct access to the park.
By car: There are three paid parking lots near the bluffs: two at Bluffer’s Park and one at Bluffer’s Beach. Bluffer’s Park is accessible by Brimley Road by car.
Know before you go
Bluffer’s Park is a popular destination, especially during the summer. Plan to go as early as possible to secure a parking spot.
Pay attention to the signage around the bluffs. Several areas have been blocked off with fencing for your own safety and ignoring these barriers can cost steep fines.
Adhere to the marked paths and do not get too close to the edge, as the cliffs are still eroding.

Stroll through the gardens
For a pop of colour, visit the accessible Rosetta McClain Gardens. Featuring a pergola, water fountain and an array of flowers, this peaceful rock garden is a tranquil place to rest.
Dive into water sports
You can go for a swim in the blue waters at Bluffer’s Beach, a popular Blue Flag beach. Or learn to stand-up paddleboard during the summer weekends with Oceah Oceah at Bluffer’s Park.
Discover local fauna
Between late April and May, you can see an abundance of wildlife in Cudia Park. Geese, swans, loons, swallows, egrets and migrating birds, as well as foxes and deer, can be spotted.
Cook a barbeque lunch
Experience awe-inspiring views while grilling your lunch or dinner in the park’s picnic area. If you’re planning to barbecue at the Scarborough Bluffs, you’ll need a permit for a BBQ.

Interesting facts about the Scarborough Bluffs
Formed over 12,000 years from sedimentary rock, the Scarborough Bluffs, or “the Bluffs,” as the locals call them are an impressive cliff formation surrounded by trails and lookout spots. Some of the highest points of the cliffs are in Cathedral Bluffs Park, with spires that resemble a grand cathedral.
Head east to Guild Park and discover relics from old buildings that were torn down in Toronto. Important architectural details have been placed in intriguing and eye-catching formations. The most prominent example is the Greek Theatre formed by columns from the old Bank of Toronto Building.
