Voice Acting for the New Challengers!


Here's all the voice talent revealed so far for Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers. Time to get to know the people behind the voices!

 

SungWon Cho (he/him) - Domino

SungWon Cho is a voice actor. You also may know him as ProZD online where he makes videos on YouTube/Twitter/all the social medias. He loves his cats Effie and Sophie very much.

Fryda Wolff (she/her) - Zapper

Fryda Wolff is a voice actor known for her roles across games like Apex Legends (Loba) and Bugsnax (Eggabell Batternugget), and animated series such as Trolls: The Beat Goes On! (DJ Suki, Satin and Chenille), and The Mighty Ones (Bats).

Ryan Laughton (he/him), Locksley

Ryan is a voice actor originally from a rural village in Lincolnshire, he pursued his passion for the performing arts after finishing college by moving to London at the age of 18 to study for a bachelor's degree in acting. After graduating from university, Ryan set his sights on his lifelong goal of voicing characters for video games and animations.

He now works as a full-time voice artist and has had the opportunity to work with some of the industry's leading game developers and studios including Blizzard Entertainment, Techland Games, Digital Extremes, inXile entertainment, Disney TV and more. Spending most of his working day performing inside a padded home studio Ryan has breathed life into a variety of characters known across many entertainment platforms such as X-Box, Playstation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community Ryan has always been passionate about promoting the authentic representation of LGBTQ+ characters and is keen to collaborate with other queer artists working within the video game and animation industry. Which is one of the reasons he's so excited to be part of the Arcade Spirits family!

Risa Mei (she/her) - Jynx

Risa Mei is a singer, voice actress, motion capture artist, and suit actress with dwarfism based out of Los Angeles. She was the lead singer of punk rock band Psycho Bando, where they performed at various events in Southern California, including Anime Expo. She then went on to co-create 4TE, a remotely created Japanese electronic pop girl group and released three singles, all while living and performing in Osaka at Universal Studios Japan. Upon her return to California, Risa joined the Jim Henson Company’s cast of Word Party on Netflix as the motion capture and voice actress of Tilly the Tortoise, and was then cast in Funimation’s By the Grace of the Gods and Kakushigoto. Risa’s most recently released work can be heard in Funimation’s English dub release of Shadows House as Rum and Shirley.

Simply Undrea (she/her) / Grace

 

Simply Undrea is a former Twitch.tv content creator who decided to channel her many years of stage acting experience into voice-over work for video games, animation & narration.

She is also extremely passionate about inclusion and that's what fueled her into becoming a consultant for AAA & indie gaming companies. As a Sensitivity Reader, Undrea insures that diversity is present in-game as well as making sure that representation is done properly.

In her down-time... she enjoys producing music, writing and gaming. (Some of Undrea's favorite video game genres are horror, shooters, RPGs and story-driven narratives.)

Alex A.K. (they/them) / Rhapsody

Alex (they) is a Lebanese non-binary game designer, and a co-owner and Creative Director of Soft Not Weak. They're currently working on Spirit Swap, hoping to add more queer and colorful smooches to games much like Arcade Spirits has!

They love their two twin cats, piping hot knafeh and covering themselves in tattoos. You can find them online at @dirtbagboyfren.

Stephanie Bruneau (she/her) - Iris

Stephanie is a writer, artist, hiker, cat guardian, and duck enthusiast who now spends most of her time in the woods. She occasionally returns to civilization to lend her voice to projects she's passionate about, and she's especially thrilled to be back in the booth to reprise her role as Iris, her all-time favorite AI overlord. She once poured her entire teenage savings into a House of the Dead 4 machine at an arcade in Seaside, Oregon. Unfortunately, she didn't make it past some middling level boss and never financially recovered. She hopes to someday provide the voice for a vampire character in a video game, or become one in real life. Whichever happens first.

Anairis Quiñones (she/her) - Valkyrie

Anairis Quiñones is a voice actress most known for voicing Mirko in My Hero Academia, Nessa in Pokemon: Twilight Wings, Yelena in Attack on Titan, Echidna in Re:Zero Yuki in Horimiya, andRika in Wonder Egg Priority. You can also hear her in Ys IX, SMITE, RWBY, and Rainbow High. When she's not acting, she’s gaming, singing Steven Universe songs, or crushing on cute anime girls on Twitter. 

Cyrus Nemati (he/him) - Punchy78

 

Cyrus Nemati is a writer and voice actor best known for Hades, When the Night Comes, and Unavowed. He used to work in public policy, but when it became apparent that he was not going to defeat the villains, he decided writing and voicing villains would be more fun.

Danielle McRae (she/her) - Sue

Danielle McRae is a voice over actress residing in Los Angeles, California. Being a huge fan of video games and anime. Her passion has led her to pursue a voice acting career in the industry. Some of her most notable credits have been in (League of Legends) as “Karma the Enlightened One”, (World of Warcraft: Cataclysm) as “Hagara the Stormbinder”, (Final Fantasy VII Remake) as “Gwen” and “Painwheel” in the Popular 2D fighting game, (Skullgirls Encore). ​She’s also been in anime and orginal animated shows such as (Sword Art Online), (Gargantia: On the Verderous Planet) as “Onderia”, (Magi: The Kingdom of Magic) as “Orba” (Kuroba Adventures) as Reina), “Beery Cool Fridge”in (Kindikids)(Death Battle) as “Lucy/Nyu”, (Ascendance of a Bookworm) as “Ralph” and (Kemono Friends) as “African Wild Dog”.

Nazia Chaudry (she/her) - QueenBee

Nazia Chaudhry (Naz) is thrilled to return to the mic to play the role of Queen Bee in Arcade Spirits II. Naz is a SOVAS Award nominated voiceover artist, as well as an accomplished vocalist, actor, producer, and educator, with a performance career spanning well over 25 years. As an actor and recording artist, she has had success from stage to screen, appearing in musicals, operettas, and theater as well as on television, film, jingles and voiceovers. You can regularly hear Naz voicing in commercials and across genres of voiceover, including anime titles such as Wonder Egg Priority, Radiant, Black Clover, Millionare Detective and many more.

As a vocalist from opera to jazz, Naz has toured internationally and has performed with Grammy Award winning singer Bobby McFerrin and flautist Nestor Torres. She has also performed with legendary actor/singers Clifton Davis, Harry Belafonte, and Metropolitan Opera Soprano Marvis Martin. Akash Thakkar (he/him) as Hamza

Based in Seattle, WA, Akash Thakkar has been an audio designer for games like Hyper Light Drifter, Beast Breaker, Outer Wilds, Heat Signature, Concrete Genie, and Destiny. He is the author of Maximizing Game Feel Through Sound: A Composer/Sound Designer’s Approach to Upgrading your Game’s Impact, and is constantly looking for new ways to spread his knowledge within the game industry. Graham Stark (he/him) and Jacob Burgess (he/him) as Ben and Matt

Graham Stark is the co-founder of LoadingReadyRun, the internet comedy & entertainment foundry behind such series as Friday Nights (Wizards of the Coast) and Strip Search (Penny Arcade), as well as the Desert Bus for Hope charity fundraising drive. Among his roles at LRR he acts as a producer, writer, director, editor, and host.

Jacob Burgess actively participates in several industries, from Video Games, to Tabletop Role Playing Games, to Voice Acting, and he does them all proudly. You may have seen him on Desert Bus for Hope. He may have directed or performed in one of your favorite video games. You may have read his words in a Vampire; The Masquerade book or Dungeons and Dragons video game or maybe attended one of his panels at PAX. He may even have packed your lunch today. Jacob is also is the Director of Operations for Ysbryd Games, a successful independent Video Game Publisher along with hosting their Twitch Channel and managing their community.
