EARLY RELEASE PROGRAMS

RELEASE & LEGAL PROGRAMS

We work to secure the "full freedom" of those currently incarcerated for cannabis.

Legal efforts to secure clemency, compassionate release, and/or resentencing for our constituents live within the Cannabis Justice Initiative, a partnership between Last Prisoner Project and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).

LPP Early Termination of Supervised Release (ETSR) Program

In most cases, someone's release from prison does not mark the end of their sentence. Following their incarceration, many of our constituents are forced to serve extended terms of "supervised release".

At LPP, we're always looking for innovative ways to ensure our constituents achieve full freedom and independence. That's why we've partnered with NACDL and ETSR Project Director Joe Elford to create an Early Termination of Supervised Release (ETSR) Program, which aims to help our constituents move forward with their lives without the burden of ongoing government supervision. The program is open to individuals who have been on supervised release for at least a year following incarceration for a nonviolent, cannabis-only crime.

Please fill out this form if you or your loved one is interested in getting off of supervised release early.*

* Be sure to select "YES" on on the question asking "Are you or your loved one currently on supervised release and would you like assistance getting off of supervised release early?
