The latest addition to the Horizon FD yacht series is launching at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.
With more than 30 years of luxury yacht building experience under its belt, Horizon has a lot to bring to its FD series and, in the FD87 Skyline, it shows.
This one-of-a-kind Australian designed vessel features five spacious staterooms, including a full-beam, on-deck master suite with a full-beam his-and-hers ensuite.
Crew quarters are situated aft of the engine room, next to the fully equipped beach club with a Hi/Lo swim platform.
On the main deck, a large aft deck lounging area leads into the main salon, which features full-height windows and emphasises the yacht’s 7.1m (23ft 3in) beam.
The Cor D Rover interior features satin walnut as the main wood to maintain a classy modern feel throughout the boat, while a Brand En Van Egmond ceiling lamp feature over the B&B Italia furniture creates an atmosphere of elegance. A walnut sole perfectly complements the satin white oak accents and Marble Carrara surfaces in the salon.
The salon’s seating area comprises of a B&B Italia L-shaped settee and B&B Italia freestanding chairs and coffee table. A dayhead situated aft serves both the interior and exterior areas. Forward, a unique and beautiful B&B Italia designed dining table with a stone top that seats eight for formal dining between the salon and the galley.
Four ensuite guest staterooms are situated on the lower deck, and include a mirrored queen-size VIP room amidships, a convertible twin to port and a fourth queen-size VIP in the bow. Furthest aft, the spacious beach club offers a huge storage cupboard and massive fridge-freezer storage for long haul cruising.
This build features an enclosed sky lounge with a newly designed micro bridge to accommodate a larger exterior boat deck with an indoor/outdoor entertaining area and tender storage aft. The al fresco space is protected by sliding glass enclosures to either side and is fitted with a U-shaped dinette, a large bar area with stools and a barbecue grill. On the foredeck, a large U-shaped settee faces a heated jacuzzi and the large sunpads. This area can also be shaded with awnings and offers refrigeration and an icemaker for added convenience.
The FD87 Skyline is powered by twin CAT C32 diesels of 1600hp each and fitted with ZeroSpeed stabilisation. She will be available for viewing at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 20–23 May 2021.
