The town of Brixham In Devon has transformed three classic phone boxes into bee havens to support the local eco system. The booths were converted to 'Bug Hotels' as part of BT's ‘Adopt a Kiosk’ scheme. 📷 | Sally Gottschalk | Twitter #environmentalprotection #sustainability #marketing
Five years ago, my parents decided to have a large gum tree removed from their yard after it was directly hit by lightning. The gum tree had a native bee colony in it and my parents wanted the colony saved. The tree lopper not only saved the length of gum tree in which the colony had set up home but brought a crane in to manoeuvre the tree stump into place in the garden. The colony is thriving.

1yWell that’s good. But not as good as the telephone box in the tiny village of Compton near me in The Surrey Hills (Insta: https://instagram.com/comptonphonebox?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=). An old phone box that no body loved, now restored with a new job to make people smile and raise money for Crisis - donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/comptonphonebox
